To my Superwoman

It’s that time of the year again, wherein we celebrate all the courageous women who have showered all of us with their unconditional love.

I would like to dedicate this post to my hardworking mother, who have proven that distance is just a number. Her love has conquered the toughest of times. She showed me what genuine love truly is. She listened to every problem I had. She’s all ears for all my complaints. She patiently waited for my calls and messages. She smiles and laughs despite her sadness because the last thing she wants is to make us worry. She softly scolds me for my wrongdoings even when I know I deserve more than that. She makes sure I had something to wear, something to eat and drink. She’s there 24/7 ready to pick-up the phone even when it’s midnight. She works beyond the regular hours just to give us everything she could. She’s endured great sadness among others just to be the best mother/provider she can be. She made me feel important and loved every waking day of my life. We may not have been physically together for most of my life but she made sure to be the best mom she can be; and for that, I am forever grateful. She made all those possible despite my shortcomings and unacceptable behaviour. She stood by my side, helped me up whenever I stumble and cheered me on whenever I am down.

She’s more than just a mother. She’s my idol, my friend, and my hero. [she even topped Wonder Woman on my list of super heroes. Equally fierce and beautiful if not more; Sorry, Gal Gadot]

Ma, I am in awe every time I look at you. You were and always will be there for us. I believe and know you deserve more than just a day of celebration. You should be celebrated everyday, all throughout the year. I promise to one day return the favor and be the best son I can be. Just prolong your patience a little more. 😉

A Mother’s Love

Hollywood

Cheers to all the awesome, independent and courageous mother out there.

You deserve recognition for every bit of love, kindness, tenderness and all other humane characteristics you possess. Indeed, it is true when they say that a mother’s love is unconditional.

You were a guiding light in times of our troubles. You never left and you have always lightened up the dark alleys we took in our lives.

You were a like a sturdy tree that stood firm in the ground even whilst you were in deep peril; giving us shade, making life more bearable as challenging times test us.

You were a sturdy rock that remained calm and kept everyone together.  You have withstood all the impediments that came our way.

You were a charm for all good things in life. Those words of optimism attracted good luck.

You were our best cheerleaders. You always believe and never doubt. Your words of encouragement gave us the courage to pursue greater things in life.

You were the wisest teacher, full of nuggets of wisdom from your seemingly challenging yet beautiful experience.

You were a tigress in disguise, ready to protect your cub and the strike at any given moment.

You were a blessing from up above. A beautiful angel who descended from the great heavens.

You were and always will be all of those things and for that I am grateful.

You truly are a gift. A gift that needs to be treasured, loved, and honoured.

Having said all these things, Ma, this one’s for you! I will always love you and I am genuinely grateful that the Lord has given me an amazing woman to look up to and have given me the honour to call someone as amazing as you as my mother.

Distance may have separated us but in my heart and in yours I know that we’ll always be as close as we can be. This undying love we have as a mother and child will always conquer hundreds or even thousands of miles. It will always overcome overwhelming heights of hurdle.

For your love and mine are both and one of the same thing and that is unconditional.

I will never get tired of saying this, I am forever indebted to you and I will always love you, Ma!

High Hopes

Osaka Japan

I have been always a dreamer. Not just for myself, but for my family, friends and country as well.

I have high hopes for everyone and everything – for a better tomorrow and a brighter future. I believe it is important to dream – and dreaming for me is having a goal, a vision and a mission. Dreaming, i think is the fuel of life. It is what most of the time makes people live to the fullest. It (dreaming) enables a person to push the boundaries of oneself and conquer challenges, which makes them a better person. Ultimately, dreaming exists because of love. You love yourself that’s why you wanted to achieve great things, you love your family that is why you want what’s best for them, same goes with your friend, and your country as well. You always dream for good things. One never dreams for a bad thing for that is not a dream but a nightmare, that everyone avoids.

And one should never forget that when dreaming, one should be doing. As William Shakespeare once said “It is not in the stars to hold our destiny but in ourselves”  We can dictate whatever happens to us. We have the power to choose. Choose to do good and be good. Choose to dream better and bigger. Or we can choose the other way around. We have a universal key in our hands, with the guidance and strength of our faith, all we have to do is choose the right door. And by doing so, it will lead us to the right path, to the right dream – Our dream, which often sleeps, in the deepest parts of our hearts.

So, my dear friend – Dream as big as you can. Do everything as hard and great as you can. And believe and have faith, always.

Love always,
